About the Author – 

Harinder Sikka is an Indian author, retired Indian Navy officer, and filmmaker. He wrote Calling Sehmat after being inspired by a real-life story he encountered during his research on the Kargil War. Moved by the bravery of the unnamed woman behind the story, Sikka set out to tell her tale to the world. Though initially rejected by publishers, the book gained widespread attention after the success of its film adaptation. Sikka is also involved in media and philanthropic initiatives and continues to speak about national security, patriotism, and the sacrifices of unsung heroes.
