About the Author

Anita Nair is one of India’s most celebrated contemporary authors, writing across diverse genres—literary fiction, noir, poetry, essays, children's literature, and translations. Lessons in Forgetting was adapted by Nair into a screenplay for the film version, which featured in the Indian Panorama at IFFI in 2012 and earned the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in English in 2013.
