About the Author – 

Plato (c. 427–347 BCE) was a classical Greek philosopher, student of Socrates, and teacher of Aristotle. He is one of the most influential figures in Western philosophy and the founder of the Academy in Athens, one of the first institutions of higher learning in the Western world. Much of what we know about Socrates comes from Plato’s dialogues, where he used Socratic questioning to explore moral, political, and metaphysical ideas. Through works like The Republic, Symposium, and The Trial and Death of Socrates, Plato laid the foundation for Western thought on ethics, justice, politics, and the nature of reality. His writings continue to shape philosophy, education, and political theory to this day.
