About the Author:

Ian Lancaster Fleming (1908–1964) was a British author, journalist, and naval intelligence officer, best known for creating the fictional British secret agent James Bond. Born into a wealthy family, Fleming was educated at Eton and Sandhurst, and later worked for Reuters and as a stockbroker. During World War II, he served in British Naval Intelligence, experiences that deeply influenced his writing. In 1952, he published Casino Royale, the first of twelve Bond novels. Fleming's works, characterized by suspense, adventure, and espionage, became bestsellers and were adapted into a successful film series. He passed away in 1964, but his legacy endures through the enduring popularity of the James Bond franchise.
